Description: Life. Is. HARD! As a psychologist, I often say I am in the “business of hope.” But what is hope? And how do we have it authentically when it feels like the world is increasingly chaotic, unfair, and cruel? This talk will focus on what hope truly is from a psychological standpoint and explore how to apply it meaningfully to our lives. I also will talk about the importance of hope from a neurodiversity perspective. We will also identify potential barriers towards having hope and workshop solutions to overcome those challenge

Call for Proposals

This two-day event attracts a diverse audience, including K-12 educators, administrators, GT coordinators, parents, and others passionate about gifted education. We are seeking proposals that resonate with a wide range of attendees and provide actionable resources or lesson ideas across the five areas of giftedness:


  • General intellect
  • Subject-specific talents
  • Visual/performing arts
  • Creativity
  • Leadership

Topics of interest from past conferences include:


  • Artificial intelligence (AI)
  • Self-advocacy strategies
  • Supporting twice-exceptional learners
  • Gifted program models in other schools
  • Empower parents of gifted students
  • Advocacy for gifted education
  • Social-emotional learning for neurodivergent students
  • Classroom differentiation techniques
  • Leadership and creativity development
  • Talent development models
  • Strategies for reading and writing

Presenter Benefits: Main presenters for each breakout session will receive complimentary conference registration and meals for the day of their presentation. If you choose to attend the additional day, you'll only pay the one-day registration rate.
