Description: Gifted students face unique social-emotional and behavioral challenges that can impact their success. This session will explore strategies to support executive functioning, perfectionism, and anxiety in GT learners. Take a chance on gifted education by ensuring high ability comes with the right support!

Participant Outcomes: 

  1. Understand the social-emotional and behavioral challenges that gifted students face, including executive functioning difficulties, perfectionism, and anxiety.
  2. Learn practical strategies to support GT learners in developing self-regulation, resilience, and emotional well-being.
  3. Apply these strategies in their own classrooms or programs to better meet the needs of gifted students.
  4. Advocate for a more comprehensive approach to gifted education that includes SEL and behavior support.
