Lauri Budzynski, MA, LPC, is a child and family therapist at Shoreside Therapies in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. With a B.A. in Art and a background in painting, she loves finding creative ways to help her clients. Lauri has a trauma-informed approach developed through years of working with children and families in foster care and adoption settings. She completed the Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) training and is deeply committed to supporting families who have experienced trauma and loss. Her clinical background spans foster care, college counseling, and private practice. After completing the Parent-Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Capstone Certificate Program in June 2025, Lauri has recently expanded her focus to include infants and young children, integrating sensory-based strategies and emphasizing co-regulation and caregiver-child connection in her work. In 2024, Lauri traveled to Ukraine to provide short-term therapeutic support to children affected by war. She plans to continue this international work in the future, contributing to trauma-informed care in global contexts. Outside the therapy office, Lauri enjoys walks along Lake Michigan, gardening, tending to her houseplants, sipping coffee with friends, playing piano, and visiting the neighborhood beer garden with her husband and their dog.
