Description: Future Problem Solving (FPS) is an educational program that prepares students to examine future issues, find solutions, take relevant action, and be a force for positive change. We utilize a 6-step problem solving model that incorporates both creative and critical thinking. Various components feature different ways to investigate real world issues either competitively or non-competitively, in teams or individually – addressing specific global futuristic issues, applying the process in their communities to create real change, creative writing, and storytelling. A component for primary students introduces them to the process in a simplified manner to introduce the concept of problem solving. Come see how FPS teaches students HOW to think, not WHAT to think!
