2023 Annual Conference
“Golden Opportunities: Engaging Minds, Empowering Success”

Presenters Wanted!

WATG is busy planning for our upcoming fall conference. Once again being held at the Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells, this year’s conference will be one for the record books as we welcome two fabulous keynote speakers (TBA very soon!),  and as we celebrate WATG’s 50th anniversary.  Be sure to save these dates - October 9-10, 2023, because you won’t want to miss it!

We are currently accepting proposals for breakout sessions at this year’s conference. Categories include:
  • Teachers - Do you have a fantastic resource that you gifted students love?
  • Administrators - How are you making gifted education work in your district?
  • Parents -  What things have you learned on your parenting journey that you think others might want to know?

We want to hear from you!

WATG conference attendees are typically a diverse group, made up of Pre K-12 classroom educators, administrators, GT coordinators, and parents.  Proposals that are applicable to a wide audience are preferred. In addition,  proposals that share specific resources or lesson ideas across the five areas of giftedness (general intellect, subject specific, visual/performing arts, creativity, leadership) are strongly encouraged.

Breakout session proposals will be accepted through April 15, 2023.

Please contact WATG board members Nicole Meier (nmeier@watg.org) or Mary Pape,  (mpape@watg.org), conference chairpersons with specific questions regarding session proposals.
